This morning the children brought their poppies that they had made to the music room. They then laid them on the floor to make a large poppy.
At the Bellinge Campus each of the children placed a poopy on a large 100 to reflect on the 100 years since the start of World War 1.
Last Friday evening Miss Oxlade and myself went to the Think Tank to receive our Bronze Primary Science Quality Mark. Thank you very much to Miss Oxlade and all of the staff who have worked had in raising the profile of science in our school.
Tonight many of the children from the Ecton Brook Campus are having a great, if a little noisy, time. Over 180 children and a few adults, have been enjoying showing some of their best dance moves. Many thanks to the PTA for organising this event.
Our boys year 5 and 6 football team competed yesterday in a football tournament at Northampton Academy. We took a combined site team and it was great to see all of the boys getting on and supporting each other so well. The children played really well together and showed great skill and sportsmanship. In the group stages they beat Delepre 1 -0, then beat Hunsbury Park 2-0 and then beat Weston Favell 1-0. In the semi final we played a very good Boothville team and unfortunately, even though we played really well, we lost 1-0. We then played Lings in the play off match and won 1-0. We therefore came third overall and all of the children were presented with medals.
Nine schools were short listed for an award and tonight we have were awarded with the gold award for Northampton in Bloom. Well done to everyone who has been involved in making this achievement possible.
